My roles in the project were both user experience and visual design.
Deliverables for this project included user research, stakeholder and user interviews, competitive audit, requirement document, and functional specifications, among others. Data collected, requirements, and specifications are showcased in the case documents.

National League of Cities (NLC), dedicated to helping city leaders
build better communities. They work together with 49 state municipal
leagues, and advocate for the more than 19,000 cities, villages and
towns it represents.
PRODUCT
A social/community website structured like the virtual parallel
of an all-American town. The use is to publish announcements, gather
opinions, disseminate information, engage the common villager, it
would be like the virtual page to access all of the communities services
websites.
STAKEHOLDERS AND NEEDS
The stakeholders are National League of Cities (NLC) and the local
village governing board. Local government and business support organizations
and official need to attenuate the effect of the Internet phenomenon
in small towns.
USERS AND NEEDS
The local village/town residents and their families need reliable
local content that is not outdated. A local community website that
will make them feel relevant, less anonymous. They want to take advantage
of the internet at a local level enjoying real benefits.
SUCCESS MEASURE —Key performance indicators
Active users/Registration – 30% resident registration during the
first month.
Content – 70% local businesses with active presence in the website pre launch. All current village official date content up and updated pre launch.
Subscriptions – 30% resident with active subscriptions during the first month.
